Living with Immune Disease

If you’ve ever asked, “Why does everyone have allergies?”, you are not alone. Food allergies, asthma, ADHD, Type 1 Diabetes, IBS, eczema, Crohn's disease, and more affect up to 30% of Americans. What’s the common link? They are all diseases of the immune system, and they are all deadly.

Some Stats:

  • Every 3 mins a food allergy sends someone to the ER

  • 10 Americans die from asthma every day.

  • It takes 6-10 years on average, for a person to be correctly diagnosed with celiac disease

  • Between 2001 and 2009, there was a 21 percent increase in type 1 diabetes in children

  • Autism increased by 6-15 percent each year from 2002 to 2010.
